Well yesterday was a fun day because i was going to see a load of great bands, The Automatic, The View, The Horrors and Mumm-Ra.
shortly after i had entered Reading some people that i knew were talking to me and mentioned that the automatic were signing things in HMV so i ran there to get there autographs and take photos, so it was fucking amzing meeting them.
When i got to the Hexagon at about 5.45 some guy tried giving me chips, which was random, then some guys with cameras came out and asked if anyone wanted to be interviewed by the NME, at that point everyone rushed torwards them, which ended up with the view are on fire chant so i was getting filmed and apparently its going to be on an NME dvd, cool.
When allowed in the hexagon i brought myself a rather nice t-shirt of the tour, and then waited for ages for them to let us in to the place where the stage is. While waiting some intresting things happened, like we saw kyle from The view randomly sort of just appeared, with a fag i one hand and a cabbage in the other, quite a few people then went up to him, he put his fag out on the wall and fucked off, hen soon after the Horrors walked past us, that Faris Rotter is a tall bloke. then soon after that some nobends pushed some plasticy glass off the floor above and hit us on the head and shoulders, the fucking cunts.
Finally, we got in and i got right to the front, first band on was Mumm-ra, they were fucking amazing, playing great songs like 'what would steve do' and 'out of the question'. I cant wait for Mumm-ra to have an album out they are just so fucking amazing!!!
Next band were the horrors now they were fucking scary, in a way. they only played like 8 songs, well they only have like 8 songs, the crowd went mental the whole time, infact i only got about 3 seconds of breathing through there whole set, i was squashed by the barrier, the horrors are pretty good live. No balck paint thoguh.
After a while The view came on, now they were fucking mental playing all the singles and most songs on the album, they were just fucking great the best song they played was Posh Boys Cant Play, which is there best song in my opinon. Whenever they spoke in between songs i could not understand a word they were saying, it all sounded like scottish jibberish.
Eventually The Automatic were on, they were fucking amazing playing a load of there album including all the singles and they even played a new song, and a Talking Heads cover. They finished with Recover. when they went off i manged to get myself Frost's guitar pick :D.
So all in all that was a fucking awesome gig.
