Blur reunion ? please

The bassist suggests that plans are unfolding
Blur bassist Alex James has again suggested that a reunion is unfolding.

Speaking to DJ Simon Mayo on BBC Radio 5 Live yesterday (December 6) the bassist admitted that he met erstwhile guitarist Graham Coxon recently.

James said : "I saw Graham last week. There may be some news there but I don't want to rush anything."

As previously reported , Coxon recently admitted he would consider rejoining the Britpop legends.

Asked about a reunion he said : "I haven't been approached about it. I think about it : would it be fun? Would it be a bit too scary? What would the dynamic be in a studio? Would I have to do promotion? Would I tour? You know, it's a lot of thinking."

We Are Scientists Reading Hexagon

i saw we are scientists last night they were fucking awesome, the support acts were, au reviour simone, and mates of state, all of au reviour simones sound the same and the drummer of mates of state had a mint card nose.

But when We Are Scientists were on, everything was awesome, they opened witha cover of Against All Odds, and everyone went mental in like every song, it was mental
there was even a mosh which was mental, there was loads of jumping, and being squashed and it was all great, playing i think most there album, and ended with them just singing to the end of the road, it was mental, i wish i was there again, infact i proberly like them even more now.

and i brought a cool wristband with wwwasd on it meaning what would we are scientists do, rather than what would jesus do.

The Young knives Oxford Zodiac Halloween 2006

Last night i went to see the young knives in oxford zodiac, they were fucking awesome, and so were the support bands, Fortune Drive and The Grates.

Fortune Drive were pretty cool, and they dressed up as The Young knives for halloween, and henry from the young knives comes out part way through there set and shouts 'what the fuck did you come as' and as i was right at the front at the barriers, Henry sat right infront of me, i thought should i be the annoying fan and speack to him or should i not.

The Grates, second act on the bill were awesome, as i walked up the stairs to the gig i was talking to this random woman who ended up being the main singer of The Grates, and they were amazing, id reccomend them.

Finally when The Young Knives came on, they opened with Part Timer, and compalined about fortune drive, they played many songs from the recent album, and because they love oxford they played, old unreleased song 'easy peasy', they also played kramer vs kramer but , when house of lords wanted to play it hery and oli disagrred with him but they still played it, they ended with 'weekend and bleack days' but in the encore, they played shes atracted to, well obviously, and they ended with 'Night of the Trees' from first ep/album thing '...are Dead' they were awesome.

now to see We Are Scientists tomorrow.

Nine Inch Nails new album apparently

t's pretty fast considering it normally takes 5 years to get Trent to sit down and write something. I guess it happens when your youth is long gone and you're afraid of becoming senile. Below is supposedly TR's message from the Spiral:

Re: 2006_10_21- Mountain View, CA [Shoreline Amphitheatre]
Just checking in. About to play the 2nd show. Set list will be the same - I would have done more but I've REALLY been immersed in writing the new NIN record (which will be mixed in Jan).
Oh - the one piano I am playing is a "prepared" piano. Neil has a strict "acoustic-only" rule which threw a wrench in the plan for me - however I am pleased with the way it has turned out.

Re: European tour 2007
A couple of things...
This is the PLAN as of this moment.
The tour we just announced will continue after the announced dates.
This wave of touring is not me solo, it's the BAND. The band personnel will remain the same - Jeordie, Josh, Aaron and Alessandro.
The new record should drop in April.

Green Day Getting Sued

A 32-year-old grocery store checker from the US is trying to sue Green Day, claiming he wrote their new album 'American Idiot' back in 1992.Paul McPike is cliaming to have sung all the songs for his classmates at Independence High School in California, and filed a copyright infringement complaint in U.S. District Court last week.U.S. Magistrate Judge John Cooney has recommended dismissing the case, but has suggested that McPike, who represented himself, could file an amended complaint detailing his copyright of the lyrics and music. So far the only evidence submitted is a copy of the album and McPike's claim that the words Billie Joe Armstrong sings don't exactly match those printed on the album's cover.

Dirty pretty things Game

Dirty Pretty Things have launched an online game in conjunction with the Make Roads Safe campaign.‘Roadie Runner’ sees a Dirty Pretty Things roadie trying to retrieve musical instruments by crossing a five lane highway – with often fatal results. The game is intended as a fun way to get across a serious message to a high risk audience. Players are encouraged to join the Make Roads Safe campaign, and key facts about global road deaths are displayed throughout the game.Dirty Pretty Things recently played a Make Roads Safe awareness gig and their headlining tour this winter is in association with the campaign. Guitarist Anthony Rossamondo said: “We need to do more to highlight the fact that 1.2 million people are needlessly killed on the roads around the world each year."
